REVIEWS & TESTIMONIALS

Dr. Brian Rees has come up with an amazing practical primer for parents.

Tri-C Parenting is a marvelous book on parenting. It does not just introduce a new and balanced philosophy of how to treat and raise your children, but also teaches so many different strategies to do so. Dr. Brian Rees has come up with an amazing practical primer for the parents. He has masterfully used his client’s situations to make points of how one should intervene in certain situations. The book is a must read for all parents as they can learn about their parenting styles and adjust it based on the needs of their child. I love the concept of respect as many parents forget it when dealing with their children. I love the concept of Tri-C (Clear, Confident and Complete). A must read for all the clinicians who treat children and adolescents.

The genius in Tri-C Parenting is in its simplicity.

Wish I had this book for reference when Hans was born! Great read and I truly enjoyed it. Allowed me to see my mistakes and how to correct them. It’s a hard truth that we must nurture our kids to what their potential and desires are not what we want them to be. Thank you. The genius in Tri-C Parenting is in its simplicity. As parents we struggle to develop confident and productive young adults who are ready to go out into the world and find their passion. Dr. Rees gives us the tool to do just that. Tri-C Parenting should be the go to manual every parent should possess. Simply enlightening!

I will enthusiastically recommend Tri-C Parenting to my patients!

Parenting is hard. If you need proof, simply consider the number of parenting books available to provide guidance. Dr. Rees' highly informed approach to this crowded space is very welcome. Rather than providing lists of strategies and techniques, Dr. Rees helps the reader to understand fundamental and foundational concepts that will inform thoughtful parenting. With this understanding, parents will be able to make needed changes and develop stronger relationships with their children. Dr. Rees uses humor, gentle confrontation, and frank logic to help parents recognize past errors and future directions for improvement. I will enthusiastically recommend Tri-C Parenting to my patients!

I love the examples you give, which are concrete and so very practical.

I loved the book. There were times that I actually laughed out loud. Wish I’d had it for myself when my two were a bit younger, as it might have saved an argument or two. I love the examples you give, which are concrete and so very practical. It was an easy read, and the application of the Tri-C strategies seem achievable. I appreciated the straight forward calling out of bad parenting choices, but then giving parents a framework for changing first their behavior and then their children’s behavior. It really resonated in me the need to establish a relationship of respect and love and confidence in the child’s ability to make better decisions. I would absolutely recommend it to friends and clients.

A Great Read!

I have worked with Dr. Brian Rees for over 10 years now, sharing with him the care of numerous child and adolescent patients. Dr. Rees has always impressed me with his easy rapport and insightful acumen regarding his child and adolescent clients and their families. His work with and guidance of our shared patients has made my role as a prescribing psychiatrist much easier. I am happy that his book Tri-C Parenting has finally come to fruition so that it can help guide a broader population of parents who may be struggling with their children’s behaviors.
